THE HOST AND THE HABIT

W hat Lacy remembered most were the unanswered calls and texts religiously sent once every day to avoid coming off as ‘thirsty’. He also recollected her gently touching his waist randomly in the midst of his mates during any outdoor events simply to get his attention. He enjoyed every bit of her shenanigans, but what he didn't seem to enjoy so much was that all she ever did was that. Feathery touch in public and private spaces to make him come alive a bit, and conversations about everything but how he really felt about her. She was going to come around, he told himself. No one really did the things she did with her eyes, mouth, and hands if they didn't feel a certain way towards the other person. Perhaps, she wanted to make the first move, like Prisca, his best friend’s formally sworn enemy, now girlfriend. But even then, the thought felt ludicrous. If he had to solicit her physical appearance time and time again until the thought of letting her go, no matter how painful, seeme...

About Blunt

Hi there! Welcome to My Story Blog!

If you’re seeing this, I just want to let you know that I am super excited you’re here with me on this journey. This blog would be nothing without your clicks and general engagements. I call it a journey because it’s pretty tasking… But, I’ve gotten to learn about widgets and customization in the most difficult way ever, and even though it suddenly feels as if my enthusiasm is slowly fading, the urge to push Blunt Tales and Coffee into your palms is what has literally kept me going.

This blog was created, not necessarily out of the need to be honest, but from the need to offer emotional ease in whatever chaotic setting you find yourself. It is my little corner where I tell stories which loudens women's voices through fiction—flash or not, non-fiction, essays, and narrative reflections, all written from the depth of my heart. I don’t think I am an on-going series type of person, but there is also so much about myself I am yet to discover, so we will just wait and see for ourselves.

In this space, you'll find raw, intoxicating, and authentically told stories that celebrate our complexities, individuality, resilience, and creativity. Also, if you’re in search of something warm that’s steeped in nostalgia—you’re in the right space!

Thank you for sticking around.

All my love!
